Two goals from Argentinian striker Imanol Iriberri gave Hibernians a crucial win to move up to the top half of the table.

It was Sta Lucia who forced the early pace with Walker and Kevin Rosero combining to find gaps in the Hibs defence.

The first half seemed to be heading for a dull affair as both sides failed to find a vital breakthrouh. Long range efforts from Grech and Izquier added spice to the game as half time loomed but on 41 minutes the deadlock was finally broken when Imamol Iriberri scrambled home from inside the box.

Iriberri made it 2-0 on 53 minutes with a powerful shot from outside the box.

Sta Lucia did not roll over, forcing Jovicic into a number of crucial saves.

Substitute Groothusen had a late penalty saved but the points were safe as Hibernians clocked up only their fourth win of the season.
