Hibernians lead by example

With the growing competition in the BOV Premier League, many teams are signing players from around the world. A recent survey conducted by Malta Football Statistics, and which takes into consideration the first 18 Matchdays of the BOV Premier League indicates that Hibernians FC  gave the most minutes to homegrown players in the Premier League, with a percentage of close to 58%,  8% more than the total average of Maltese players used in the Premier League. It is no secret that this has always been the club’s policy. In recent years the club not only endeavored to introduce young Maltese talents to the local game but also invested heavily in recruiting Malta’s finest local talent. Throughout the years, the club has played a major role in supplying players for the National Teams. Today’s squad and the Malta Football Statistics survey are further proof of this ongoing strategy.
