The club’s AGM, which was held this morning was addressed by Club President Mr. Anthony Bezzina.

 

In his speech the President underlined that despite the fact that at the beginning of last season there was an air scepitcism about the team’s chances of challenging for the BOV Premier League title , with good ground work from the club committee and coaching staff as well as the right attitude and effort from the players , we managed to defy the odds and put up a good fight till the very end.

 

While pin-pointing some minor issues that need to be addressed , Mr.Bezzina took the opportunity to discuss and explain the club’s plans for the future.

 

Mr Bezzina transferred his personal 51% share in AS Hibernians Ltd to Hibernians FC, so that now Hibernians FC are the major share holders in AS Hibernians Ltd.

 

Mr.Bezzina also found time to congratulate all the club’s players and coach who won or were nominated at the MFA and MFPA awards. “In winning these awards, these players(and coach) have not only honoured themselves but also the club, and this is confirmation of the good work that was carried out during the season”, explained the President.

 

In his closing notes the President thanked everyone involved in the running of the club and all those persons who in one way or another gave a helping hand during the season.

 

Joining the AGM were Honorary club Presidents, the Honorary Ministers Konrad Mizzi , Dr. Chris Fearne as well as the Honorary Member of Parliament Dr.Jason Azzopardi.

The AGM elected the Executive Committee for Season 2019/2020.

 

With Mr.Bezzina being confirmed as the Club’s President,

The Executive Committee will is also welcoming two newcomers in Mr. Antoine Ellul and Mr.Charlo Pace.
