Matthew Calleja Cremona was born on the 14th of September 1994. He is 1.80m tall and plays as a goalkeeper.

Matthew’s career in the local football scene has started with Pembroke Athleta where he was a key figure as the Club got successive promotions from the lower divisions.

In the 2014-15, Calleja Cremona joined Floriana with whom he made his BOV Premier League debut on the 31st of January 2015 in a 1-1 draw against Tarxien R. In the 2016-17 season he returned to Pembroke Athleta only to join St Andrews in the following season. He played the last two seasons with the latter. In total, Matthew Calleja Cremona played 112 matches in the BOV Premier League.

Calleja Cremona has also won four caps at Under 21 level where he debuted in a 0-0 draw away at Montenegro on the 8th of September 2015.
