Before heading to this year’s Christmas break, HFC Media took Dunstan Vella’s comments about the atmosphere in the team after a massive victory over Gżira United F.C. and on the last fixture for this year against Gudja United F.C.
“Everyone knows that this year, there are no easy matches. Even though Gżira United are encountering difficult times, they still have a valid team”, Dunstan said.
“From kickoff, we looked very confident and even though we conceded in the first minutes of the match, we remained calm, played our game and eventually turned the result to our favour.”, he said.
When asked about the atmosphere in the dressing room, Dunstan replied: “The atmosphere in our dressing room is very positive and I believe that this is an important factor which unites all the team.”
This Sunday, a morning fixture awaits against 9th place Gudja United, which even though they are not having one of their best seasons, they are still a tough competition.
“Even though Gudja find themselves in the bottom part of the league table, they are a very good and organised team,” said the 25 year old midfielder.
“It will be another difficult match and we have to give our all to win the match and end the year with a positive result.”
